The Middle States Association

Establishing clear organizational objectives can focus a school on what's needed to promote academic and social/emotional achievement among students it serves. Non-profit agencies can assist in this process.

The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools is a voluntary, non-governmental, nonprofit, peer administered organization of diverse educational institutions in the Middle Atlantic States region of the United States, American territories in the Caribbean, and American and International educational institutions in Europe, Africa and the Mideast. For more than 75 years, the Association has worked to encourage, advance, assist, and preserve the achievement of quality education in the Middle Atlantic States Region.

The Middle States Association is one of six similar regional accrediting associations which together serve the entire United States. Membership is open to public and non-public schools and colleges.

The Association's Accreditation For Growth program is particularly powerful, compelling schools who engage in the process to develop committee's that work to help gear a program towards meeting agreed-upon objectives.
