Dr. Scott Taylor is currently the Supervisor of Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology for the Litlle Silver Public Schools.
Previously, he was principal of the Monmouth County Academy of Allied Health and Science, the Lafayette Mills Upper Elementary School, an assistant principal at the Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School and a teacher of Enlish at the High Technology High School. He serves on the Executive Boards of the New Jersey Association For Supervision and Curriculum Development (NJASCD). Dr. Taylor received his doctorate at Teachers College, Columbia University. On the topic of educational reform, particularly the need to bring life back to stagnated schools, Taylor has written a number of articles: A Call For Suburban School Reform details the process by which educators can foster excitement and a new sense of life in the schoolhouse.
Published in New Jersey Journal of Communication (Fall 1995) and Insight- Association for Supervision and Curriculum Handbook Network (June 1995) Report From The Field: Communication Technology in a New Jersey High School explains how an advanced telecommunications network can enhance relationships among all involved in a school.
Block Scheduling: Effective Tool For Improving Classroom Atmosphere is a descriptive study of one school's positive experience with the new format. The work particularly deals with the effect the scheduling system had on teacher-student relationships; first published in NASSP's Newsleader (January 1996).
